We can take a look on the story of Ador Rahman, a game developer for the future.
Since childhood, Ador Rahman has been fueled by curiosity, constantly seeking to understand how things are made. This passion led him to explore the world of game development. In December 2020, during a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ador decided to dive into coding for the very first time. Armed with his trusty phone and the Coding Hero app, he embarked on his journey to learn Python.
His initial goal was to create a game that would involve moving and rotating images. However, as he delved into the coding process, he encountered obstacles that prevented him from achieving his vision. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't quite figure out how to make it work.
Then, in 2021, Ador stumbled upon a game called Fancade. It was a treasure trove of brain-improving games, but what caught his attention was the option to create his own game within the platform. Thrilled by the opportunity, he searched for Fancade tutorials to help him get started. Unfortunately, he found only a handful of resources available. Determined not to be discouraged, he decided to fill the gap by creating his own tutorial series called G-Progress.
The demand for his videos skyrocketed, especially when Fancade introduced a new script menu item. Ador knew that many users would be searching for guidance on how to utilize this exciting new feature, so he swiftly learned how to use it himself and created a video tutorial as fast as possible.
However, as the pandemic waned and 2022 rolled around, Ador's focus shifted away from coding and video creation. It wasn't until March 2023 that he found himself devoting a month to exploring the game development engine called Godot. Although he didn't have a team or a Google developer account, essential components for serious game development, he still gained invaluable experience through his adventures in Fancade and Godot.
As a student, Ador's game development journey has been a mixture of self-taught learning, trial and error, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. While he may face limitations, he is constantly seeking ways to expand his skills and take on new challenges in the world of game development. Who knows what exciting projects lie ahead for him?
His story is an example of a developer himself being a publisher. This way, it is possible for the developer to take rest, and wait as much as he would like! And it's his decision to manage projects and make changes! But, making profit this way is hard and the progress will be slow, now, how about teamwork? Appointing some more people who likes to develop under you? Well this is a cycle, making them the more pressurized and well, frustrated. It's hard to scale up a business while keeping it bug free.
